The fiery red, yellow, and oranges are put together in beautiful Mardi Gras Dahlias. We love flowers that display this way and the colors are held well in the petal after cutting. Similar to the dahlias Hay Day, we enjoy Mardi Gras for the extra bit of yellow in the petal bloom. The plant supports it’s blooms well and can be crowded a bit. If you love the reds and yellows, this bloom would be a happy addition.

We have a strong affinity for flowers that look like they are on fire. We debated between Hay Day Dahlias and Mardi Gras, but out first year picked Mardi Gras for our initial 30 because there was more yellow. Its been a great addition to vases and seems to hold well. We liked it so much, that we have also added miniature versions of Kasasagi and Irish Glow to our collection. Mardi Gras is brings the party to the garden, is a hardy plant and even when crowded, finds a way to grow and bloom.
