Ginger Snap Dahlia

We started with Ginger Snap dahlias our first growing season, but when fall came and we dug, divided and stored, things were overwhelming. I still remember the next spring sitting on my deck with boxes of tubers 360 degrees around me and feeling anxious. I remember the moment I started randomly grabbing things and hoping I got one of each. Well, I didn’t and Ginger Snap was given away. It took a few years before we were able to bring it back into the garden and it has given immense pleasure. The bloom color is very unique and we have loved coupling this cultivar with Great Silence and Hawaii for a tropical feel. Then in fall, we put it with Hollyhill Black Beauty. The plant tolerated crowding and grows about 4 feet tall.
