Linna Dahlia

  • This photo taken down and to the right of the flower shows the first two whorls of petals open and the central petals are still tightly curled.
    This is the same bloom that was pictured in immature form. Now there are two petal whorls open and the flower is starting to adopt the informal decorative bloom.

  • Zoomed so the flower fills the whole frame and no foliage is visible. The center is an orange color and the petals at this angle show more yellow with hints of orange at their tips.

Linna Dahlias are a romantic full bloom in soft yellow tones with subtle orange tips. We started this dahlia in the garden an 2020 and have been enchanted by it ever since. The colors of this flower seem like a warm sunset on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The blooms are fairly large and are the focus of bouquets.

Linna is a more recent addition to Wildhorse Gardens and we’ve been growing it since 2019. We planted several tubers in 2022 and finally got a real impressive bloom. We find Linna very romantic and have shared this variety with friends who have also been impressed.

A slightly different form, but similar color to Linna is the Day Dreamer dahlia.
