Miss Rose Fletcher Dahlia
A glowing medium toned pink is what Miss Rose Fletcher Dahlias bring to the garden. This semicactus variety produces good cutting stems and the flower shape adds interest to the garden and the vase. She has preformed will in our Coastal climate, dependably producing a bushy plant with plenty of flowers. Tuber production is strong and we always get several tubers to find homes for. If you look close at the pictures, you will see that some petals even produce a tiny white tip.
Miss Rose Fletcher is quite a long name and is one of the first 30 tubers we purchased in our garden. The story behind the selection of this tuber is a little silly. The color was sweet, but we chose this one because it reminded us of the name Jessica Fletcher from the old TV series Murder She Wrote. Aside from the fact Nichole loved the show as a child, much of the series was filed in Mendocino County and near Fort Bragg, Ca. As a child, Nichole spent many weekends and summers in that area visiting some special relatives whom she adored. This flower brings reminders of many happy memories.
