Description
Cilantro is a staple to many dishes and this is a robust, short to bolt variety. Leaves are used in salsa, toppings to tacos, and more. The seed can be used whole or ground. Whole the seed is used in rubs and condiments or in pickled products and in air tight containers can store well for a year. Slow roasting the seeds brings out a better flavor profile. The ground form can be incorporated into breads and batters, but is not as shelf stable. While some find the leaf of cilantro soapy and sharp, the seed offers a softer flavor profile.
Plants need full sun and can be planted 6-8 inches apart for a thick sowing. Harvest when the leaf bunches are 8-10 inches tall, or let it go to seed and collect your own seed.
