Description
While under appreciated by growers, people who love cherry tomato’s will love this nightshade fruit. Fruits are similar in size to cherry tomatoes but pack a sweet pineapple flavor. The fruit drops when ready and the paper lantern is easy to remove. Eat them fresh or dice and make a fun pico de gallo. Will fruit for several months before frost. Enjoys warmer temps to support growth.
Height 36-48″ tall
Plant 20-30″ apart.
Sow seeds 1/4″ deep.
Sow seeds when soil is 70 degrees for proper germination. Can be started indoors and transplanted after last frost. Prefers warmer growing conditions over 80 degrees and is frost sensitive.
Grow in full sun
Benefits from staking or trellising and pinch when there are 3+ leaf nodes to encourage bushier plants with more flowers. Harvest fruits when the lantern turns yellow/brown or watch for dropped fruit.
Packets include 20-25 seeds.
Many factors go into growing seeds so be careful you keep them moist but not wet. We can’t control your growing conditions once seed leaves our farm.
