  • Rain drops nestle in the petals of this pink orange ser of dahlia petals.

Ice Tea dahlias are a perfect bloom to add to pinks or orange bouquets. The camera does not do this flower justice. The plant is a shorter plant but is very vigorous in production of blooms. The blooms hold well in the vase. The flower is considered a formal decorative, but its size and presentation will remind you of a ball.

It’s difficult for the camera to pick up the tones of this flower and it’s hard to describe how much this color resonated with us. The image above of two Ice Tea flowers, one facing left and the other right, kissed with a fall rain is one of my favorite images of all time. Ice Tea is sweet as its name and will always have a home in our garden. We often plant a few so we can appreciate the blooms in mass.
